Re: Living with anxiety depression and fibromyalgia

Hi,

I really do sympathise with you fibromyalgia is a very challenging condition to live with.

I assume that you have taken all the advice given to you by your GP and specialist, have you been referred to a specialist nurse as well as they are a really good source of help and support. There is also a lot of advice on the Fibromyalgia UK website http://www.fmauk.org/

Have you looked into complementary therapies as I know many people find these very beneficial as it leaning to medicate or Mindfulness? You can learn these online or from books you don't have to spend money on classes. Always check with your GP first through, please.

Getting your stress levels under control is also really important as there is evidence that this type of condition is made worse by stress. Take a look at what you can do to reduce stress, lifestyle, diet and exercise all play really key roles.

It may help to talk to a counsellor so have a look on the www.bacp.co.uk website for a qualified person in your area.

I hope some of the above are helpful and I wish you all the best.
