Reactive perforating Collagenosis

Hi i have recently been diagnosed with the above condition, if you Google it it tells you it is a very rare
(just my luck) condition, i have been prescribed some creams and tablets which don't seem to be working.
I have been using E45 itch relief and various other creams and anthistimine tablets but to no avail.
I did come across an article about Phototherapy, would this work for me do you think?

Re: Reactive perforating Collagenosis

Dear Mondo

I'm sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with this condition. It is not a worrying skin condition however can be very itchy, sore and unsightly.

Treatment for the condition is unfortunately usually unsatisfactory. Phototherapy is one of the treatment modalities that has shown success in reducing the itch and definitely should be considered. Other treatments can include oral retinoids which are tablets that need regular monitoring by a dermatologist.

I hope that helps. Wish you all the best.
