BPH
Is there sufficient evidence that the heat treatment of BPH is effective, are there any side effects ?

when you talk of heat treatment I assume you mean Rezum
The early studies show it is effect but we need longer term data (> 5 years) to see if its durable (i.e its effects last long), it has been recently approved by the UK national body NICE
side effects include
Painful urination.
Blood in urine.
Blood in semen.
Frequent urination.
Inability to urinate or completely empty the bladder.
Need for short-term catheterisation.
