Stress incontinence
Hi after having an abdominal hysterectomy 4 years ago I've suffered with thestress incontinence and sometimes urgency.
After going through 6 months of physio therapy and a urodynamic test I was selected to have a Sims mini sling tvt operation . I had this just over 2 years ago now and it was a waste of time . It was fine for 2-3 months a d then all symptoms returned .
2 years on I've moved areas and am finally under another gynecologist who has just put me on medication for the urgency and wants me to have another urodynamic test and other incontinence tests .
Am not sure what the future holds and would be greatfull for any advice thanks x

Re: Stress incontinence
Good afternoon,
It sounds like you have mixed incontinence stress & urge. I think reinvestigation is a good idea.Repeat urodynamics will also confirm whether its mixed incontinence .
It maybe that the overactive bladder symptoms (urgency) are causing the leak & the medication will hopefully stop it. If its proven that you have stress incontinence they may need to redo the surgey .
There are things that can be done, so wait until youve had the tests & your urologist will give you the options.
