I feel like I want to go for a pee but when I get there I cannot go for ages I just stand there for 5 minutes or so before I can start to go and then it always dribbles at the end and feels like I need to go a bit more.

It sounds like you may have an obstructed flow which could be as a result of an enlarged prostate or tight bladder neck or urethral stricture (narrowing in the urethra). In any event it would need urological investigation to be clarified, please see your GP for a referral to a urologist.
