Excema woes

My 3 year old son had perfect skin until he caught hand foot and mouth. We found after the HFM rash disappeared that he had extremely red dry skin around his mouth, on his upper arms and behind the crease of his knees. We tried lots of creams, natural and steroid but nothing has completely cleared it. We're now using Lush Dream Cream and his skin is so much softer now but still quite red. My main question is, will he ever grow our of having excema? What tips do you suggest for keeping on top of it?

Re: Excema woes

Dear Ms McGonigle,

I am sorry to hear about your son eczema. Many children grow out of eczema by their teens. The most important is to use regular moisturisers and when necessary topical steroids of an appropriate strength.

I hope this is helpful.
