Re: Moles removed

Dear puskaa000

We generally do not recommend the removal of moles particularly on the face for cosmetic reason due to scars. Sun exposure plays a major role in determining how many moles we develop therefore good sun protection is important and an SPF 50 is generally recommended. The moles themselves are not connected and once cut out (excised) they should not regrow. Occasionally moles that have been shaved off can regrow. Additionally freckles, which are harmless, are sometimes mistaken for moles. I would recommend you see your GP or a dermatologist about any moles or brown marks that are changing.

Best wishes
