Vaginisimus

Postby HelenBinns on Fri Mar 15, 2019 5:05 pm

I am so small that I cannot easily use tampons (so never try anymore) and cannot have sex without great pain and tearing of my vaginal wall (ie bleeding).
Can this be caused solely from a fear of sex (which I have due to my religious upbringing) and if it was caused by unconsciously physically keeping myself tight, but caused by the mind, can I mentally train myself to relax and loosen my muscles, and if so how?
Thank you.

i would suggest that you go and see your GP or practice nurse and discuss this with them. you can be referred to see a psychosexual counsellor who would be able to help you.
kind regards
