Ovarian Cancer

My sister has died of Cervical Cancer at 68 and I am wondering what/if this has any implecations for me. I had a hysterectomy about six years ago but I remember the Consultant stating my ovaries had been left.

Re: Ovarian Cancer

cervical and ovarian cancer are different and are not linked. if you have had your womb and cervix removed and your cervical screening was normal before this there is little chance of getting cervical cancer, I would see your GP as they will have correspondence from the hospital and find out if your ovaries were removed. you could look at Ovacome, an ovarian cancer charity as they have the signs and symptoms of ovarian cancer if you are concerned.
kind regards
