Cysts on vaginal lips

I have had 3 cysts the size of small garden peas on the lips of my vagina for 12 months I've seen my gp twice about them as they get sore & inflamed especially with the friction when walking but she says specialists dont like to remove them so I come away having to put up with the discomfort. As I'm perimenopausal I'm currently having periods every 2.5 weeks & my vaginal dryness has returned so these cysts are causing more discomfort. Is it possible to have them removed or not and if not why? Many thanks
