Intense Itching

I am 59, was on HRT for 20 years due to having a total hysterectomy age 32 and came off it 6 years ago, which of course threw me into full on hot sweats, mood swings and the joys of the menopause (thankfully they have subsided now!). Anyway, before I was taken off HRT, I started with intense itching all around my labia, no discharge, no smell, just horrid itching which drove me mad, sometimes making myself bleed I scratched so much!
I have also noticed that my labia has shrunk back, so much so I hardly have any at all, is that normal at my age? But still the itching is there and still driving me mad! I don't use soap, just clean water to cleanse (in the bath), use natural washing liquid for my laundry (Ecover), how can I stop it please? I would normally be asking my Mum all this but she died 17 years ago.

Re: Intense Itching

This may be a condition called lichen sclerosis so I would ask your GP for a referral to a gynaecologist
