Mucus/catarrh

I am experiencing large amount of catarrh/ mucus blocking my throat and hard to cough up or swallow driving me nuts dr says probably allergy I have no other symptoms and was prescribed steroid spray I’m not convinced it is allergy anyone else suffering same symptoms

Hi cazzie58,

Thank you for posting about your symptoms. Rather than allergy, have you considered that it could be something like a food intolerance (you can get catarrh too not just bloating).

Mucus in throat really causes so many problems, I am facing same issue since 5 years.

It usually affects the back of the nose, the throat or the sinuses (air-filled cavities in the bones of the face). It's often temporary, but some people experience it for months or years. This is known as chronic catarrh.
