I have been treated from the above on my face. Use a factor 50 ultrasun daily. Is there any case where rosacea goes away for good or is it for life. As for basal cell can it crop up anywhere on my body as well?

Thank you very much for your question. I am so sorry to hear about your skin problems. Rosacea goes away with time although it is difficult to predict for any particular patient how long it may take to resolve eventually.

The risk of a recurrence of basal cell carcinoma locally is about 5-10% with standard surgery and less than 1% with micrographic surgery. However, if somebody had a basal cell carcinoma it is probably indicates that the person had a relatively excessive amount of UV rays and therefore there is a small risk of a new basal cell carcinoma arsing elsewhere on the body, limbs or head. Therefore a regular skin self examination on a monthly basis is a sensible approach.

I hope this is helpful.
With Best Wishes,
