IBS and bladder issue
Hello,
Since I got IBS, I have experienced loose bladder issue like I leak a lot whenever I do something pushy like laughing, bending, long walks or jogging! I talked to my GP about it but as it is managed by panty liner so he is not concerned and advised Kegel exercise but nothing is working! I have stopped wearing light colours pants because even with the panty liner I feel cautious and the irritation and itching of wearing liner all the time makes me uncomfortable! Please advise.

This sounds like stress urinary incontinence - if home exercises have not worked I would recommend referral for specialist supervised pelvic floor physiotherapy. If this is not successful you may need to see a urologist or urogynaecologist to discuss surgery.

Thank you, would definitely consider seeing a specialist soon.

I feel that this needs to be assessed by a specialist nurse practitioner in the continence advisory service at the community level with appropriate referral to a specialist as necessary.
