Pink urine and back pain
I have recently started having episodes of pink urine, but have pain in my back too. I do suffer from severe back pain due to discs exploding so I am unsure if this is why I have pain and discoloured urine. I have had urine test at doctors and it was confirmed that there was blood and it was assumed that it was an infection and antibiotics were given. But it is still happening what can it be and what else should I do

Hi Linda M
My advice is to go back to your GP and ask for a referral so your bladder can be looked at and assessed.
Please follow up on this.
Best wishes.

Thank you for your message. There are a number of possible reasons why you may have pain and blood in your urine, and the commonest is kidney stones. In any case, I would recommend seeing your GP as soon as possible to be referred to a Urologist for further investigations to find the cause of your symptoms.
