passing urine is slow but the urgency to go is speedy

I'm 72 and have had 2 children in my 20s.
I had a prolapse 10 years ago and a successful op about 8 years ago.
For the last 3 years passing urine is slow but the urgency to go is speedy. Thus arrival at the loo without an accident is a problem. Some times once started peeing by accident I've no ability to stop. This is very embarrassing if I'm doing a health walk especially in cold weather I know this is very common for older ladies.
I've had physio instructions for pelvic floor exercises and drink decaffeinated coffee and tea. I need to visit the loo many times at night.
I was prescribed a med from my doctor but that left me feeling unwell with an extremely dry mouth.
I'd love to know if there's any better treatment that can aid this issue apart from wearing adult nappy pads.
Thanks, Ann
