Nightly frequency

Hi all
I have a overactive bladder especially at night time and can go to the toilet every 3/4hours nightly... Iam nearly 60 and gave gone through the menopause. Am I to be worried about my frequency?

I would advise completing a bladder diary in order to investigate whether you are making too much urine at night. This is a condition called nocturnal polyuria and the treatment is different to that given for overactive bladder syndrome - this is the first step in trying to find out what the problem is....

This needs to be assessed by a specialist nurse practitioner in the community setting with appropriate referral to a specialist or hospital.
