Treatments and advice
My husband has dark skin and is about 70% without melanin now.
Are there any treatments to slow down the spreading of vitiligo? I read about an eczema treatment that can work. And light treatment.. are these available on the NHS? Our doctor has not given us any advice apart from that he could try covering it up if he’s self conscious.
I’m also concerned that my 8 year old also has it now. Apart from using factor 50 suncream, is there anything else I could be doing to help her?

Re: Treatments and advice
Thank you for your question. Yes UVB phototherapy and tacrolimus/pimecrolimus creams work for some patients so you may want to ask your GP to refer you to a dermatologist.
I hope this is helpful.
