My granddaughter aged 4 has been diagnosed
My 4 year old granddaughter has been diagnosed with vitiligo. We are not aware of this being hereditary on either side of the family. Since diagnosis the vitiligo has not spread and is confined to her privates and top of her thighs where it is not visible to others. Will the vitiligo spread further as she gets older? are there any symptoms with the vitiligo and what can we do to help her. Many thanks in anticipation of your response.

Re: My granddaughter aged 4 has been diagnosed
Thank you very much for your question. It is unpredictable what vitiligo would do - it may stay as it is, spread or resolve/improve. If it is stable at present it may be sensible to wait and see.
I hope this is helpful.
