Cervical screening and ttc

Is it safe to have a smear when trying to conceive? Or in very early pregnancy?
Thank you x

Re: Cervical screening and ttc

It is absolutely safe to have a smear test when you are trying to conceive or in early pregnancy. It is very important to have a smear test if you are due when you are trying to conceive, because once you find out you are pregnant, you will usually be advised to reschedule the test for a date around 12 weeks after your baby is born (unless you have had a previous abnormal result).
