What would you list are the most commonly mistaken foods listed as ‘healthy’.

Great question!

So many of us want "fast and simple" meals so reach for anything in the health food aisle.

In truth, my response to the above questions is just about anything in that health food aisle!!! Anything boxed/packaged/apresented as "low fat, low sugar, no sugar, low calorie, etc etc " As well, mass-produced gluten free and dairy free products that are sold as healthy options to people on diets with these restrictions. In truth they're normally loaded up with other ingredients that are simply not good for us. Especially when consumed frequently.

So simply, anything in a box or packet is generally not going to provide your body with the raw fuel it requires to optimise energy and vitality.

THE healthiest foods are those that do not "have ingredients". They ARE ingredients!

Please let me know if you'd like more info on this.

I would like to add prepackaged vegetarian and vegan foods to the list as they are now being positioned as a healthy meal alternatives but they can be just as unhealthy as animal product containing prepackaged foods. There is also the term 'naturally sweetened' appearing on many snacks and drinks which can give the impression that the food is a healthy alternative but can be just as high in sugar as its couterparts.

Cooking meals from scratch and snacking on foods that are as close to nature as possible is the best way to eat healthy. As Simone stated in her reply, "The healthiest foods are those that do not "have ingredients". They ARE ingredients!"
