Re: Psoriasis on head
Scalp psoriasis can be difficult to treat and also a source of great stress and embarrassment for patients.
There are a variety of treatments which include:
Steroid applications for the scalp
Tar and oil based treatments for the scalp -such as cocois.
Shampoos -tar based
Often these treatments need to be applied regularly and can get quite messy which unfortunately results in patients not adhering to treatments.
There are also various oral medications that can help with both standard and scalp psoriasis. However you would need to speak to a dermatologist to assess their suitability.
