5 year old treated for vitiligo

My daughter is 5 years old and at the end of 2018 she was diagnosed with vitiligo without knowing the type of vitiligo has been treated with topical creams such as steroids and immunosuppressants without a noticeable result of treatment, I presented my daughter two weeks ago to a dermatologist where he confirmed not to have vitiligo! !!! I was so confused, I would help with my willingness to send photographs of the injury areas. Thanking you for the reply. Khaled

Re: 5 year old treated for vitiligo

Hello, Dr. Alexanderoff
The doctor diagnosed the situation as being close to the white bran and that the behavior of the child has to do with this situation such as tension, nervousness and others, knowing that the injury of my daughter is in one side of her body, which is the right side only and that the injury was not treated until this moment.
thank you for your reply

Re: 5 year old treated for vitiligo

I am sorry to hear about your problem. Unfortunately it is difficult to diagnose this type of skin problem by photographs. However if it is because of an injury and injury is stopped the skin usually slowly gets its usual skin colour back.

I hope this is helpful.
