wheal on my skin

I occasionally have a very big and painful wheal on my skin which I treat with antihistamine tablets and cream. Doctors have no idea why I get them and are pretty dismissive but they take ages to go and really get me down. Is there anything else I can do to avoid getting them or treat them more effectively when I do get them?

Thanks, Esther

Re: wheal on my skin

Dear Esther,

Thank you for your question. I am so sorry to hear about your skin condition. It sounds like an urticaria. Ask to be refereed to a dermatolgist. Your dermatologist may consider treatment
with montelucast tablet and /or omalizumab injection.

I hope this is helpful.
With Best Wishes,
