Is there any effective cure for Athlete's foot? I've tried all the proprietary brands following the instructions to the letter, but it always returns after a brief pause -help please !

In more persistent/severe cases of athletes foot your gp can prescribe you a course of oral antifungal medication. However it is important to address factors that contribute to recurrent episodes. Recurrent Athletes foot is more frequent in those who wear occlusive footwear, sweat a lot and do not dry the skin of the toe web spaces sufficiently. Addressing these factors is very important to reduce the risk of recurrences.
