Back and leg pain following RTC

I was in an small car accident in 2012. I was jerked forward but didnt hit anything. Straight after the accident i had discomfort to the left side of my lower back. 2 days later I developed shooting pain down my left leg into my foot, pain in my left hip and pain just above my left buttock. I have had traction, acupuncture, TENS machine and trigger point injections, none of these have helped. I went to a few physio sessions at the time, but the back and hip areas are painful to touch and they were limited in what they could do. 7.5 years on the pain remains and I have some difficulty walking. I am on a lot of mediation and would like to reduce this. Can you please let me know if there are any other treatments i could try. thanks.

Re: Back and leg pain following RTC

It might be useful to ask your GP to refer you to a physiotherapist who is experienced treating RTA patients. You haven't mentioned specific exercises and a good physiotherapist should be able to help you with exercises that will help with pain.
