Would a mitrofonoff be helpful ?

Hi, I've suffered with recurrent kidney infections for a number of years. I also have problems with emptying my bladder and often am in full retention. I have been self cathaterising for the last few years but of late have struggled with this massively. I am currently wearing a Foley cathater due to a recent sepsis infection which stemmed from polynephritis. It has been suggested that I have mitrofonoff surgery , would this be something worth considering? I could not have the sacromodulation due to epilepsy . I also have a connective tissue disease which is lupus managed .
I seem to be going round in circles and am feeling more and more poorly. I have no quality of life .
Many thanks. I look forward to your advice.
