Restless Legs Syndrome
Hi. I have RLS. This has eased with increasing my iron levels (recommended by a specialist). However, since reaching the recommended iron levels and stopping the tablets, my symptoms are returning a bit. This can affect my sleep. Do you know whether there's any research that there's a psychological component with RLS? I was fine when taking the iron, but as soon as I stopped it returned. I doubt my iron levels suddenly dropped again, although I will be checking this. Maybe if I was wondering if it would return, it did? Thanks.

I don't specifically know of any research around a psychological component with RLS but it may be possible that you're overthinking the matter. I would recommend you liaise with your specialist and inform them that you feel your symptoms are returning. There are other medications you can take.
I'm sure you've already been advised on this but pill-free strategies may also help ease RLS, too: massage or stretch the legs before bed, exercise daily, and avoid alcohol.
