Allergic to sweat/perspiration
Can you be allergic to your own sweat/perspiration? When playing sports or in the gym I sweat a lot. Any way to alleviate this but carry on with my exercise?

Re: Allergic to sweat/perspiration
Hi there,
It's unusual to be allergic to your sweat, but sweat can certainly be irritating for the skin, particularly if you have sensitive skin.
2 thoughts:
1)See if you can reduce the sensitivity of the skin by avoiding harsh wash products and using a regular moisturiser.
2) If you feel you are sweating excessively, there are options to help with that. Depending on the site, we use a combination of medical deodorants, tablets, injections or devices. Have a chat with your doctor if it's starting to interfere with your life.
Hope that helps,
BW
