allergic to beeswax?

I started using a project (Nerdwax) on the pads of my spectacles designed to keep them from constantly slipping. After a day or 2 the area became red, raised, bumpy and itchy. I've used antihistamine ointment and taken AH tablets and it is very slowly calming down. Could it be a reaction to beeswax?

Re: allergic to beeswax?

Thank you for your question. Yes this could be an allergic reaction to beeswax. Ask you dermatologist for a patch test allergy test to rule this out.

I hope this is helpful.
