Sensitive skin

I have eczema in my ears for sometime and over the last year have had fungal ear infections where i was given canestan and ciloxan firstly for left ear and twice in the right ear. I have constant hissing in right ear which continues for months due to 9 drops per med each day. Is there any form of ear laser therapy or anything new that could stop this happening. I have to say I never ever suffered with ear problems before my total abdominal hysterectomy.
I cannot swim and petrified for the future re swimming or showering ( at present using Vaseline cotton wool for showers but not sure it’s working well). Not using ear plugs as have to dispose of daily.
I had tests for diabetes all negative. Sorry for the length

Re: Sensitive skin

Thank you for your question. Sometimes eczema in the ears can be due to an allergic contact dematitis when one becomes allergic to some chemicals one comes in contact with. You may want to ask you dermatologist to do a patch test allergy test for you to rule this out.
Regarding your hissing sound you need to ask your GP or an ENT specialist - this is not a dermatological problem I am afraid.

I hope this is helpful.
