Feeling lethargic

I am really struggling with my energy levels during the day. I'm wondering whether this may be due to the amount of sugar I consume as I do have a fair amount. Would this be the case and if so how do I go about trying to increase the amount of energy I have?
Thanks Penny

Re: Feeling lethargic

Hi Penny,
Yes, this could be due to sugar and the energy rollercoaster it causes. As well as coffee. Both give us short energy boost, however, later on, we crush as there may be little nutritional value in food you eat to sustain stable energy. I definitely would increase the protein intake as well as water. Good hydration helps to keep our sugar levels stable. Cut down on sugar and coffee especially in the afternoon (if you drink one). Try for few days and see how you feel it is important to build in that intuition around food which serves us and our energy levels.
I am not sure when do you experience energy slump but a lot of people have it in the afternoon quite often due to lunch being poor in protein and rich in heavy carbs.
Hope this helps
