Vasectomy

I am planning to have the snip as my wife and I don’t want any more children. I’m going for the consultation next week and wondering for if there are likely to be any potential complications that could happen after surgery? I’m quite worried it will affect my sex life after and maybe cause urination issues? Thanks

Re: Vasectomy

Very sensible questions to ask the surgeon at you consultation next week. To my knowledge there should be no surgical reason why it should affect you sex life or urination . In my clinical experience I have had a small number of men who experience some difficulties psychologically. For most men they continue to have a satisfactory sex life it was pre vasectomy. Certainly being able to relax during sexual activity without the risk of pregnancy can be a great relief.
