Endometrial thickness 9mm

I'm 41, thought to be perimenopausal due to a high FSH. My periods were very regular, then I missed one, had a normal period, then 8 days later started very light bleeding for 15 days. 10 days after this I had a TV ultrasound which showed my endometrial thickness is 9mm. I am concerned this is thick, and a potential sign of uterine cancer. I can't see my GP until week after next. Is this concerning? Thank you for any advice.

Re: Endometrial thickness 9mm

Hello there.
So endometrial thickness before menopause of 9mm is not abnormal!
Do talk this through with your GP , so they can reassure you that it's only after menopause we worry about endometrial thickness over 4mm in POST menopausal women, this is because we expect the womb lining to be thicker at various stages through the cycle ( regular or otherwise ), the thickness represents the tissue that is shed in the form of a period.

Wishing you well,
