Menopausal mess

Hi
I’m 43 and have been on HRT from I was 38. I had recently been to see my GP in relation to high blood pressure, anxiety and running to the toilet more often than usual. I’d two urine tests done which came back clear. I haven’t had a bleed since January last year but had a spot of blood and some, what looked liked, red tissue bits lying in the toilet. My GP just said “I’m not sure what that would be” and that was it! I had been to gynae quite a few years ago and they told me then that the lining of my womb was very thin. Would this be related?

Many thanks.

Sharon

Re: Menopausal mess

If you have not had a bleed for more than 1 year and have been told you are menopausal, any bleeding should be investigated. Make sure your smear is up to date and it is probably worth having another scan to check the lining of womb. Any post menopausal bleeding should be investigated.
