Heavy Periods

Hello,

I have been through all the internal and external tests to find the reason of my heavy periods but any private consultant (4 private Gynaecologists) and my GP couldn't find any reason except hormonal issues. The mini pill, IUD and non-hormonal pills all have failed to help me so the only option I have got is Hysterectomy but I do not want that! Is there anything else I can do to help my body to resolve this issue! I take healthy diet but exercise is not an option for me due to joint pain issues. Thank you.

Re: Heavy Periods

Am sorry to hear this. For some women, who have tried most other things, you can have the lining of the womb burnt away (endometrial ablation). This is however not suitable for all women and will depend on the shape of your womb and whether you have any fibroids etc. It can be an alternative option for some women.
