Menstruation

Hi,
I am 49 and have the contraceptive implant and before that the contraceptive injection, since having the implant, this is my third, the only time I have bleed is for a day or two when I have them changed.
I am a year and a half into this and am having an actual period, this is the third day, this hasn't happened before , this is my first period for 15 years,and a few friends have said I need to go to the dr, is this anything to worry about??

As this bleeding is abnormal for you, it probably is worth going to see your GP to check it out. Hopefully nothing to worry about, but they should examine you and send you for a scan to check the lining of the womb if they are worried.
