Ear infections

Had total abdominal hysterectomy 2017 since then the health problems are endless. I have developed eczema in the ears now fungal infection that has gone from the left to right ear. These infections take months to get clear. I’m on canestan and betnesol. I cannot hear it’s muffled. It feels inflamed swollen and full of fluid since the medication. At present when showering I use Vaseline and cotton wool in my ears.

Do I need grommets and is there laser therapy to stop the itching? I’m concern that when I get water in them in future re swimming/showers it will come back. Any advice as this has been 18 months of misery from one ear to the other. P n I’m washing my hands constantly.
