Hello
Am a mature woman in my 70s but suffer badly from severe Urticaria Am prescribed a strong Antihistamine tablet (flex?) But it’s not really working that well!
Any further advice please?

Dear Decima,

Thank you for your question. I am so sorry to hear about your urticaria!

You can try fexofenadine up to 2 tablets in the morning and 2 tablets in the evening off licence but please make sure you are not sedated by this high dose if you are driving or operating machinery. After this you can ask your Dermatologist or GP to prescribe in addition cimetidine off licence.
