Thinning Skin

Occasionally I find that a purple coloured spot erupts on my lower arms and legs. They do eventually disappear but usually leave a brown spot in their place. The GP tells me it is just thinning skin but I would like to know what causes them. Thank you.

Re: Thinning Skin

Dear Diana,

Thank you for your question. It sounds like bruising. Ask you GP to check you full blood count and clotting.

I hope this is helpful.
