Oral Lichen Planus moved to skin

I am 63. I have two stomas, which I have had for years. I try to look after my stoma skin and it’s not too bad a condition considering I have to take a baseplate off every other day. However this November I developed Oral Lichen Planus which then moved to my skin and this is right on the edge of my stoma bags. It is also in my anus and some of the pustules have split causing cellulitis in my leg with lymphoedema. What can I do?
I have been being treated unsuccessfully with steroids and my GP has finally last week referred me to a dermatologist but lord only know how long I shall have to wait.
Thanks Bobbie

Re: Oral Lichen Planus moved to skin

Dear Bobbie,

Thank you for your question. It sound like you need to see a dermatologist for a systemic oral treatment but ask your GP if he could try tacrolimus ointment meanwhile.

I hope this is helpful.
