I have had two shoulder replacements and am finding sleeping very difficult any help would be appreciated

It is important that you choose a mattress that gives you the best pressure relief, especially if you prefer sleeping on your side. Look for ones that either contain a layer of memory foam or latex foam (at least 5cm deep). The most popular combination chosen in the UK is a pocket sprung mattress with a layer of memory foam, if that helps. You could also consider buying a memory foam or latex foam topper pad to place on your existing mattress - again choose one that is at least 5cm deep.
For your information, memory foam reacts very slowly to your body weight and body heat, moulding to your shape and slowly recovering when you move whereas latex foam reacts very quickly and springs back immediately.
