Night terrors

I’ve been suffering from both night terrors and paralysis which have become really bad. This has been going on for about 4 months. I haven't seen anyone about it yet. I'm waking up screaming and shouting and my wife has to now sleep in another room. Other times I wake up but cannot move at all. Its all very scary. I've suffered from depression before but not all the time. It comes and goes over the years. Do you have any advice for these two conditions? Are they night terrors linked to mental health and should I be worried if they are?
Cheers, Steve

Re: Night terrors

Hi Steve
Thanks for your post.
Rather than going into more on night terrors and sleep paralysis, I've added some links below for you to have a read through and they also give you some ideas on how to help including keeping a consistent bedtime routine.

Both conditions can be linked to anxiety and stress, sleep deprivation and irregular sleeping patterns so it's worth exploring more about your sleep habits in general.
