i feel a like a social outcast because of my acne scarring
Im a 35 yr old women. Over the past 2 -3 years my skins has become alot worse than when i was going through pubity. Its the reason why i no longer go out. I used to be a good looking girl that never had any trouble mixing with people. But due to my skin Ive now lost all my confidence and my self esteem is at a real low. I hate looking at myself in the mirror because all i see is acne scars. Im so ashamed of how i now look. I no longer go out in pubs to socialise and certainly wont attempt to talk to anyone of the opposite sex. Ive been single for over 3 years now because of this. Im so depressed x

Hi,
I came on here to rant about the same thing. Acne has robbed me of my sexuality, my chances of love and any quality of life. I don't think there are any acne scar fetishists out there, but who knows.

I'm going through the same experience, late 20s.
I had acne from 11-27. In late 2015 I finally went on isotretinoin which got rid of 95% of my acne. Now I'm left with some horrible scarring which is difficult to get rid of.
This month I had a scar revision with a plastic surgeon to remove a scar on my nose, but it looks like it hasn't worked, so I will have to go back and have it done again (and hope and pray). I have other scarring as well, like a sunken scar on my cheek and lines at either side of my mouth where there was a row of acne. It isn't as deep but looks awful. Also my skin is more red now after taking accutane.
It's a nightmare and I want to put all of this behind me. I have easily spent £1500 on acne and scarring.
