Help! I'm worried...

I don't know what to do! Ever since I was a younger child, I had such clear, beautiful skin, I undertand with age that I was bound to get spots, however it is really getting me down. I wake up in the morning and look in the mirror wanting to cry, wondering what's going to be said about my face today... I wouldn't say I'm depressed, however it stops me from wanting to enjoy my teen hood if that's what you want to call it. It started when I was about beginning of year 8 and I started getting little spots and I used to wash my face with normal facial soaps and I usually found it made it worse. Anyways, I sometimes found that I could go days looking half decent and other days where I would just want to curl up in a ball and not look at anyone! Seriously, I am desperate for something that is effective and will help my skin, I am in year 10 now and I have noticed that my skin is getting worse and it's the worst around my chin and mouth and my forehead. I am using olive soap as it is kind to the skin and what I usually find (annoyingly) is that I can use a product and it can work brilliantly for the first week and then my face gets used to it and stops being so effective! Aghhh! I need help, anything that will work, I am upset, I am terrified of scarring, it will haunt me forever if it does. I am incredibly pale and have such fair skin... Cuts or grazes go purple when I scar and I am concerned this is happening on my face. I would cry forever if it did, which is why I need help now to prevent this. I am literally at wits end, I have tried so much... Thanks xxx

Bunnies - we do understand your concerns as we see exactly the same shared concerns with so people, both of your age and older. It is certainly good that you are trying to manage it now and there are so many things available on the market to help but it is slightly bewildering to understand what is good and what is not so good. A good place to start is certainly to visit your healthcare professional and also to ask if there is a dermatologist or a doctor that specialises specifically in skin that you can see at your local surgery, or be referred to. They will be able to advise you the type of self management that will best help from cleaning and caring for your skin to looking at foods that may possibly be triggers for your skin to break out and general lifestyle. Many products (for any skin types and conditions) are trial and error, as what works for one person doesn't always work for someone else. Likewise as you have found out sometimes products work for a while and then appear to be less effective. Your doctor will be able to advise on what treatment courses are available both under prescription and over the counter. Please do look at our hub for general advice and you will also find very helpful information from the well known pharmaceutical companies individually branded websites and NHS Choices. We strongly recommended that you keep visiting your GP if you are not finding any improvement in your skin until you find it does start improving.

Hi there. I'm sorry to hear that your acne's gotten worse :( Since your acne is mostly around your chin and mouth, it's probably hormonal. Are you on any form of birth control?

Also, what are you using in addition to your olive soap? I'm wondering if it's time to start building a skincare routine.

Acne is a common concern for many people. You can start a new skin care routine for your skin. I would suggest you to wash your face regularly to keep it clean. I have seen many skin care products on Cellublue that will benefit you. You can try these products for good results.

Acne is a common problem for girls.Here are some tips to get rid of acne:-

1. Clean your face properly with mild face wash
2. Get at least 8 hours of sleep
3. eat healthily diet
4. Drink plenty of water
5. Use oil-free make up

Hello there!
There are simple steps to make your face acne-free. If you have an oily skin, then avoiding oily foods. If you have dry skin then you try to moisturize it. Probably you have tried to use beauty products to reduce acne or looking forward for any recommendations. I tell you it is best to try several over the counter skincare products and use it regularly (If it says use it Twice a Week then do so..). Use facial cleanser two times a day and use cream right after it, to seal the pores. If you don't feel the changes in your face in a week then try another product. Don't try to skip a day without cleansing the face.

More stress and sleep less night, eating oily food also result acne in face. Take one egg white and mix it with two spoon lemon juice, apply on face. Apply two layers of the mixture. Get it dry and remove.
