Re: Tips for Dealing With Adult Acne

This is based on my personal experience. I also suffered from adult acne (which started during my adolescence). I know who painful and stressful it is. I think I have already tried all medicines and there's no treatment to it. Until an ob-gyne informed me about my hormonal imbalance. She prescibed some oral medicines but she also advised me to apply some topical oils. I cannot remember the exact oil prescribed but what I know is, it was very effective even without the oral medicine.

When I did my research and experience, organic facial oils that are effective in treating acne. I have already tried bergamot, endoca and tea tree and they are really effective. I do not apply creams and take oral medicines for inflammations anymore. I am now happy with the effects of organic facial oils. ;)

Re: Tips for Dealing With Adult Acne

This is a very interesting thread - hits especially close to home for me. I started struggling with acne at the age of 9 - way before any of my peers. Until I was about 14, I think my parents just thought it was a phase or something. Finally, at 14, they put me on prescription medication which I knew nothing about and was on for about 6 years. They were terrible. My acne subsided (although I would actually still have breakouts) but the side effects were completely insane. I had to use eye drops constantly in my eyes, had to stop using contacts altogether, drank water like I was in the middle of the desert. My skin was so dry I just felt like an alien. Finally I decided that acne was better than that and stopped using them. But then, my acne came back with a vengence. I was pretty upset about it. I mean here I am in my 20s and my friends haven't had acne since they were teenagers and I still look like a pre-pubescent. It was awful. I was getting depressed, blamed my lack of a love life on my horrible face. I think I bought at one time or another every single anti-acne product sold in the pharmacy and nothing would work. I was just about to go back on the prescription and was having a ton of anxiety about it. Ironically, one of my little brother's friend's mom (that's a mouth full) told me about this product she had her entire family on and she herself had used for the last 15 years - Ninja Skincare. I had never heard about it and was apprehensive to use something I didnt know about but I was literally at the end of my rope. I half-heartedly gave them a call to see if they could recommend products for me, told them my story etc. Within 5 minutes on the phone, I was almost crying. I think I might have actually cried a little. I swear to god, in 5 minutes, I just knew that I had found my solution. It was the weirdest thing I have ever experienced... it was this feeling inside me. The woman I spoke to was so knowledgable and immediately told me what had caused me to have this debilitating acne for so long. I felt like I was talking to a shrink or something. ahahah. Anyways, I started their program and have never tried anything else ever. I only comment once in a while on acne blogs and primarily it is to tell people about them because they do little to no marketing and for my own selfish sake, I need to make sure they are in business forever.

Re: Tips for Dealing With Adult Acne

I am in my 30s and have adult acne that gets worse with stress. I've always suffered from acne and get all types. The first day I got dermalmd acne serum I had one that was under the skin and hurting really bad. That next day it wasn't gonna but it didn't hurt anymore and it was substantially reduced in size. I haven't been using it quite a week yet but I can't believe the difference it is made in the zits I do put it on. I haven't used it all over my face yet because I'm afraid of it drying my face out but eventually I will. I have spent so much money buying different products. Dermalmd acne serum one finally works!

Re: Tips for Dealing With Adult Acne

acne77 wrote:If you suffer with adult acne, you need to recognize that your condition is not uncommon. It's a misconception that teenagers are the only people who get acne. The truth is that adults, both male and female, have to deal with acne breakouts. It doesn't matter how mild or serious your acne is, there are solutions available to you, and we're going to share some of them with you.

Your adult acne isn't any more fun than the acne breakouts you had as an adolescent. In some respects, it may feel really a whole lot worse, as you may not have expected to deal with pimples as an adult. Suffice to say, there's no need to lose heart, because as an adult your acne breakouts can be addressed in various ways. Your acne breakouts are a skin disorder that has an effect on people of pretty much every age.

There are a large number of treatments for acne, ranging from products you can buy at the drug store to laser sessions to remove scarring. Read on to learn which one of the popular options for fighting your acne will work most effectively for you. Adult acne can have many causes, but it's always an unwelcome condition. In some cases you may have serious scar tissue that requires the help of a skin specialist. Nevertheless, much of the time you can treat acne breakouts successfully with home remedies or products you buy over the counter.

Adult acne is not something that any adult wants to have to deal with; after all, weren't zits and pimples bad enough when you were younger? Still, this is a very typical issue, and sometimes the most effective treatments will be a little bit different when you utilize them to fight adult acne. Adult acne sufferers would do well to test out some of the following remedies to cure their own acne breakouts. You can't cure moderate to serious acne breakout simply by washing your face a lot. However, it is still something that will help you in your efforts to clear up your acne breakouts. Some people think that being rough in their face washing is the best method to get rid of acne, but all this does is aggravate your skin.

The best thing to do is wash your face twice on a daily basis using water that isn't overheated, and a soft, not rough, cloth. You can use over the counter cleansers, but don't use any that are made with harsh agents, as these can make acne worse if you have sensitive skin. Your main goal is to have nice, clean skin and to be as gentle with it as possible. Your very first instinct when you notice adult acne is most likely to pay a visit your pharmacy and buy an over the counter medication for bad acne. Sometimes these products, usually those which contain benzoyl peroxide are very helpful in killing the bacteria that are typically responsible for bad acne.

Many of these products though, unfortunately, were designed to fight teenage, not adult acne. Occasionally, the two aren't really that different and that means on occasion you can use the same products and get the same results. Nevertheless, while teenage acne is typically caused by oily skin, adults usually have combination or dry skin, and this means that most of the typical acne medications will only dry out your skin further. That is why you'll be better off paying a visit to the dermatologist so that you can get an acne medication that is meant for your certain skin type when you are an adult. An all-natural remedy for adult acne that is worth looking into is aloe vera gel, a solution that comes from a tropical plant in the family of succulents.

There are a lot of options for attending to adult bad acne, and not all of the comparable solutions are equally beneficial for every person. If your acne is severe and home made remedies don't work for you, consult with your skin specialist. Nevertheless, the treatments we've described have proven to be useful to lots of people. You really need to start focusing on all of the different aspects of your life from what you added to your body to what you apply to yourself, because any of those things could be contributing to your acne problems. The options in this article are just some of the points that can guide you to cure your adult acne. Adult acne is most certainly troublesome, but it can be cured.
Thanks for the great info.

Re: Tips for Dealing With Adult Acne

Great write for adults. I also had acne for last 8 years. I have also struggled a lot because of it. I would like to add one more thing. Once should always change the pillow covers once or twice a week. There's so much bacteria on them you really should to prevent new acne. So I tried these disposable pillows covers from this website kovrdpillowslips.com These ones are actually disposable so super easy! They also have product in them that improves the condition of your skin whilst you sleep. So along with medication proper care is also important. I hope this will help you..
