There are many things a person can do to prevent pimples and other forms of acne, including: Wash the face twice daily. Refrain from harsh scrubbing. Keep hair clean. Refrain from popping or picking at pimples. Apply topical treatments. Consider topical retinoids. Talk to a dermatologist about antibiotics.

Great advice, salehjosh.

Also to remember: acne is not always the result of dirty, unwashed skin. That is a myth. Acne is caused by hormones. Hence why it appears in adolescence. BUT washing skin daily is important. It is also important to use gentle facial products: stripping the skin will make it sore and dry. With face creams, it is best to use a medicated light lotion. A doctor can prescribe such a cream.

The contraceptive pill is actually used to treat acne. Talking to the doctor about taking such a pill is a good idea for females.

Good eating habits and skin care habits can reduce a lot of acne. Less serious acne will be eliminated automatically, and more serious acne should be treated with medicine.

I am sure that doctors also issue antibiotics.
