What type of acne?

I’m currently going through a big breakout on the right side of my face. My routine is;
AM:
- Simple Water Boost Micellar Gel Wash
- La Roche Posay Effacler Mat moisturiser

PM:
- Simple Water Boost Micellar Gel Wash
- Simple Light Moisturiser
- Adapelene

I have been using adapelene for 8 weeks and the results have been mixed. The La Roche Posay Effacler Mat moisturiser has got salicylic acid in the ingredients. I have just reintroduced this into my routine over the last few days then the spots on my forehead developed. I have used it before and it has worked well to reduce the amount of oil on my face (less shiny).

I am going to see a dermatologist for the first time in 2 weeks.

Can anyone give me any tips to suggest what type of acne is this or if this is purging/reaction.
