What type of acne?
I’m currently going through a big breakout on the right side of my face. My routine is;
AM:
- Simple Water Boost Micellar Gel Wash
- La Roche Posay Effacler Mat moisturiser
PM:
- Simple Water Boost Micellar Gel Wash
- Simple Light Moisturiser
- Adapelene
I have been using adapelene for 8 weeks and the results have been mixed. The La Roche Posay Effacler Mat moisturiser has got salicylic acid in the ingredients. I have just reintroduced this into my routine over the last few days then the spots on my forehead developed. I have used it before and it has worked well to reduce the amount of oil on my face (less shiny).
I am going to see a dermatologist for the first time in 2 weeks.
Can anyone give me any tips to suggest what type of acne is this or if this is purging/reaction.
Thank you!

Re: What type of acne?
Introducing new things into your routine can change your acne's reaction to it, since you've recently reintroduced the La Roche Posay Effaclar Mat moisturizer with salicylic acid, it's possible that your skin is reacting to it.
I'd say that the best action plan in any scenario is to consult a dermatologist, they might take a sample and give you an accurate pin pointed diagnostic
