Derma rollers
Are the use of derma rollers on the scalp recommended to enhance treatments?
Thank you

Re: Derma rollers
Hello, thank you for your message.
Dermaroller can improve the penetration of some topical therapies and is commonly used alongside Minoxidil to enhance it's effectiveness (although some patients also describe a higher risk of facial hair growth due to the enhanced absorption)
Separately there is some suggestion that Dermaroller alone can potentially improve hair growth due to the microinjuries caused by the dermaroller stimulating the skin's healing response and a greater concentration of growth factors in the area - this is however more hypothetical and does require more formal research.
I hope this helps.
Best wishes,
